Rapper Young Buck is headed back to jail for 30 days after violating the terms of his bond.
The Nashville native, born David Darnell Brown, was locked up after skipping mandatory meetings with his bond supervisor. According to officials, Buck was supposed to check in twice a month but kept missing appointments, which led the judge to revoke his bond during a court hearing on Monday.
Young Buck was originally out on a $60,000 bond from a 2020 case, where he faced serious charges, including domestic assault, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and vandalism over $10,000. But after repeatedly slipping up on his bond conditions, the court decided enough was enough. Sumner County assistant DA Eric Mauldin told TMZ that Buck’s lack of cooperation finally caught up with him. WKRN reports that the judge said this 30-day stint behind bars is meant to “get his attention this time.” After he serves his time, he’ll be eligible for a new bond.
This is not the first time legal issues have tripped up Buck’s career. The former G-Unit rapper has had a rocky road with run-ins and setbacks despite trying to stay active in the rap game. Now he’s got another hurdle to clear, and it’s clear the court’s not playing with him.
