Style Squad: The 2025 FABY Awards Brought The Fab With Fur And Leather

The who’s who of fashion descended upon Glasshouse in NYC to attend the 2025 FABY Awards during NYFW. Honorees included Law Roach (Stylist of the Year), Tamron Hall (Best Dressed Talk Show Host), NLE Choppa (Most Fashionable Man), and the first-ever Andre Leon Talley Triumph Award recipients, which included Atiba Newsome, Eric Archibald, and Roger McKenzie of the 90’s styling group The Mode Squad. HelloBeautiful’s editorial director Shamika Sanders was on hand to present past HB covergirl Tamron Hall her fashion bomb trophy.

Before the ceremony, HB hosted a special episode of Style Squad (Shamika Sanders, Char Masona, Keys Rebelle) where we caught up with Jackie Aina, Misa Hylton, Rapsody, Ty Hunter, Crystal Renee Hayslett, Claire Sulmers, and more. The topic on everyone’s painted lips was the luxurious dress code: fur and leather. On Saturday night, lush fur coats and shiny black leather went together real bad. And with a snowstorm dropping a coat of white slush across the ground, the attire was appropriate.

Hosted by gorgeous Real Housewives of Potomac star Stacey Rusch and the fabulous Paul Wharton, dinner kicked off with an illustrious bang. Law Roach was honored early in the night with the Stylist of the Year award, which he dedicated to Fashion Bomb Daily founder Claire Sulmers.

Shortly after, NLE Choppa accepted the award for best-dressed male. He dedicated his win to “the strong Black women” behind successful Black men. He thanked his stylist, who was in the audience, for taking his fashion to new heights.

Other honorees included The Official Razor Chic (Natural Hairstylist of the Year), Latisha Chancey (Makeup Artist of the Year), The Doux’s Maya Smith (CEO of the Year), and Azzy Milan (Most Fashionable Teen).
