‘Love Is Blind’ Beauty AD Smith Gets Engaged To ‘Love Is Blind: UK’ Star Ollie Sutherland

Congratulations are in order for Love Is Blind stars Amber Desiree “AD” Smith and Ollie Sutherland. During the Season 8 reunion of the hit dating show, which aired March 9, Smith —  a contestant from Season 6 of Love Is Blind — and Sutherland — an alum from Love Is Blind: UK — revealed that they had gotten engaged. The pair shared that their connection blossomed shortly after they met on the hit Netflix dating series Perfect Match.

“I think even as early on as when we were on Perfect Match, I noticed that we were having the deeper conversations, the more important conversations. Talking about shared values and similar outlooks on life,” Sutherland shared during Sunday’s reunion, according to E News! “I think that really laid the groundwork and the foundation for the beautiful relationship we have now,” he added. “And I definitely attribute a lot of that to our experiences on Love Is Blind.”

Smith attempted to make a relationship work with Clay Gravesande, a Season 6 cast member, but their romance ended before it even began when Gravesande admitted he wasn’t ready for marriage at the altar.

Sutherland, on the other hand, got engaged to his former fiancée Demi Brown, but their connection quickly dissolved after their wedding ceremony. At the Love Is Blind: UK reunion, Demi shared that she had an epiphany post-wedding, realizing Sutherland wasn’t the one for her. Sutherland explained that they both had candid conversations that ultimately made them realize they weren’t ready for a lifelong commitment and that their relationship just didn’t feel “right.”

Thankfully, love appears to be strong between the handsome Brit and Smith. A clip shared during the Season 8 reunion on Sunday captured Sutherland and his soon-to-be wife’s magical beachfront proposal. 

“You’re my best friend,” Sutherland told Smith as he got down on one knee to propose. “You’re the love of my life. I’ve never felt as happy or as complete as I have since I met you. And nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life loving you. Amber Desiree Smith, will you marry me?”

Gasping in shock, Smith happily nodded, “Yes,” as she held her face in shock and jumped joyously.

The couple also made a joint announcement about their engagement on Instagram, telling fans, “THIS is how you do a hard launch.” The post contained beautiful photos of Smith’s ring and sweet images of the couple spending time together after their proposal.

Romance rumors surrounding Smith and Sutherland started swirling in October after they were seen having dinner together in Mexico, E News! noted. The speculation intensified when Smith made an appearance at the Love Is Blind Season 7 reunion, revealing she had found love—but kept the identity of her mystery man under wraps.
