In a TikTok Live, Lizzo reportedly opened up about what she’s really been doing for weight loss. “I had to start applying a calorie deficit, because I was prone to binging,” she said. She explained how being more mindful of what she puts in her body made a huge difference.
One major shift? Cutting back on those sugary Starbucks drinks. She realized she was downing up to 1,200 calories a day just in coffee. “I stopped drinking coffee to also help regulate my nervous system,” she shared. These days, she leans more savory in the mornings and eats in ways that feel good to her.
But this wasn’t just about food. Lizzo candidly talked about her anxiety, too. “I’ve been working to get my anxiety under control for years,” she said. “I meditated. I calmed myself down.” She added, “I isolated myself in a mindful way where I had no distractions. I just focused on me.”
And all that work is worth it. “I felt lighter, energetically and emotionally,” she said. But while Lizzo’s transformation has inspired many, she made one thing crystal clear: “Everybody’s body is different. Find out what works for you.”
