Philly native and rising music sensation Fridayy has released his highly anticipated project, Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not— an album that explores the complexities and contrasts of life. In a candid interview with Posted on the Corner, Fridayy reveals the creative journey behind his double-disc release, sharing his inspirations, vulnerability, and how he aims to leave a lasting impact on the music world.

“I wanted something bittersweet, something that really reflected real life.” -Fridayy

The title Some Days I’m Good, Some Days I’m Not perfectly captures the ups and downs of life, but for Fridayy, it wasn’t an easy choice. After collaborating with his manager, the title emerged, and a song of the same name became the heart of the album.

This project is a reflection of over 18 months of work, creating 21 tracks that blend a mix of R&B and emotionally raw content. The album is divided into two parts: the “good days” filled with feel-good R&B and the “not-so-good days,” where Friday taps into deeper, more personal emotions.

The album dives deeper than ever before, with tracks that showcase his most personal experiences—like buying his mom a house and coping with the loss of his father. The track “Without You” stands out as an emotional tribute to his late father, marking one of the most significant moments of the album.
