The World Is My Yard is built around three pillars: celebrating HBCU culture, preparing students for world readiness, and refreshing mindsets. The platform’s goal is to offer students a unique space where they can navigate their academic experiences while working toward their post-collegiate aspirations.
The platform enhances the HBCU experience by keeping students connected to major cultural moments on their campuses. From homecoming events to traditional Classics, students will have the opportunity to participate in surprise events that feature product sampling, merchandise giveaways, and other delightful experiences, all while embracing the vibrant spirit of HBCU life.
To help students prepare for life beyond college, The World Is My Yard offers opportunities such as internships, externships, and access to course materials. Through initiatives like ZIYNX Academy, an online micro-internship program for student-athletes, and Project XL, a partnership with Accenture Song and Urban Edge Network, students gain leadership and strategic thinking skills while connecting with top companies for real-world training.
