Cardi B Says She Feels Like It’s The ‘Perfect Time’ For Vice President Kamala Harris To Run For President

Cardi B has taken to Instagram with her latest political opinion.

In the wake of President Joe Biden’s historic decision to withdraw from the 2024 U.S. presidential race, Cardi B reminds fans of her previous commentary about Vice President Kamala Harris leading the Democratic ticket.

In true Cardi fashion, the rapper is bringing receipts.

“Check the date.. said this on JUNE 30TH,” Cardi B captioned her latest post. “Been told y’all Kamala should’ve been the 2024 candidate.”

Cardi B says she felt like this has been Vice President Kamala Harris’ ‘time to shine.’

On July 21, Cardi B shared a carousel of short videos along with her caption. In them, she speaks to fans on live about her thoughts about Vice President Harris as a potential presidential nominee.

In the clips, Cardi describes the “perfect time” and “moment” for Vice President Harris. She also discusses challenges the current vice president may face as a Black woman.

“I feel like they should have passed the torch to Kamala. This was the perfect moment for her … I feel like right now it would be her perfect time to shine,” Cardi said in her previous video.

When it came to President Biden, the New York rapper opined in the late June clip, “He should enjoy his life right now.” She said the president has “made a legacy.”

Cardi B has no problem speaking her mind. She often uses her social media platform to engage with fans, relate to current topics, and build support.

Vice President Kamala Harris says she intends to ‘earn and win’ the Democratic nomination.

The “Enough” rapper’s Instagram post is just one of many public social media reactions following President Joe Biden’s official departure from the 2024 U.S. presidential race and endorsement of Vice President Harris as the next nominee.

“My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” wrote President Biden on Twitter/X and Instagram. Under the President’s posts is a picture of him and the Vice President talking on the White House lawn.

“My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Today, I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year.”

The President’s historic decision follows weeks of political and public pressure regarding his fitness for the next term and the future of the contentious race. Hours after the decision, Vice President Harris responded to President Biden’s endorsement.

According to CNN, she said in an official campaign statement, “I am honored to have the President’s endorsement, and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.”

If Vice President Harris’ campaign is accepted and successful in November, she will be the first woman president of the United States, a historic moment that will undoubtedly inspire generations for years to come.
