Ciara posed on the cover of Kindred by PARENTS digital issue with her beautiful children for the magazine’s Affirmation Issue. Just in time for Women’s History Month, the Grammy award-winning artist opened up about raising young Black women, advice for young girls, life lessons, and more.

Ciara is our shero. The mother-of-four embodies a woman who doesn’t allow her role of mother and wife to overshadow her entire being. The “Body Party” singer still embraces her body, shakes her hips, and lives her life unapologetically. Valuing herself, regardless of her status, is paramount, and she wants to instill this in her daughters. “I always want my girls to feel valued, know that they can create their own self-worth, they’re in control of themselves and where they can in life. I want my girls to know that they’re not limited by their gender or the color of their skin,” the Atlanta native told the magazine.

In addition to being a fly, modern woman, Ciara portrays the ideal life on social media. We can’t get enough of seeing her cute kids living their best lives or her doting husband, Russell Wilson, leaving flirtatious comments under her pictures or whisking her away for romantic getaways. The beauty entrepreneur is head-over-heels for her husband and admires how he puts their family first. “I’m so grateful for the love that’s in my household, how my husband loves me and how he loves all of our children, and especially how he loves our girls,” Ciara stated. “I’m a daddy’s girl, so my dad’s love was incredibly valuable for me.”
