Tracee Ellis Ross Slays In Alaïa, Receives Her Fashion Flowers At WWD’s First-Ever Style Awards

On January 3, fashion publication Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) honored Tracee during their first-ever Style Awards, celebrating “the fashion and beauty tastemakers, muses, and legends whose creativity, craft, and style create magic on the red carpet.” The event, held at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, put the spotlight on Tracee, and she was ready to shine!

The Pattern Beauty owner wowed the audience with both her words and her outfit—and we expected nothing less. The Black-ish star chose a bold black and silver Alaïa jumpsuit for the swanky Los Angeles event. The jumpsuit featured small silver grommets and a body-hugging fit that showcased Tracee’s natural curves and hard work in the gym. She accessorized with a black leather belt adorned with fringe-like swoop details and carried a white Alaïa purse to add a pop of sophistication to the ensemble.

For hair and makeup, Tracee swept her voluminous black hair into a ponytail. The style was youthful and sophisticating, highlighting her cheekbones and natural beauty. Her lips popped with bright red lipstick, completing the look.

During her acceptance speech, Tracee charmed the crowd with her humor and wisdom. “Thanks for looking at my Instagram,” she joked, “and for justifying my shopping habit.”

She went on to share a heartfelt reflection on style: “Style is the confidence that your bones give you to let your heart sing, your soul dance, and your feet walk your own path.
